Bringing the smoothest possible gameplay experience to the player is what drives my programming. Being a gamer myself, I know how bad it feels when either the animations don't play nicely together or when the gameplay mechanics just aren't very fun or engaging and I would lose interest fast. I'm constantly looking for ways that I can improve my work, whether this be from new technologies that appear or from taking a new look at the design of a system to see how it could be reworked.
Being a Canadian that has lived in a few different places in the world (Spain, Netherlands), I've come to appreciate a wider range of life outside of my cultural bubble. This has translated into my working life since I am never afraid of learning a new computer language or interacting with people from different societal backgrounds. I started programming 4 years ago when I learned of the International Game Architecture and Design school in Breda, Netherlands. Since that moment, a passion was born in me to program in any way, shape, or form that I can!
Beyond programming and game development, I am also interested in music and sound design. I have learned how to be a live sound technician and quite a bit on how to equalize sound, use compressors, etc. I am also a drummer within the band in my church where we play mainly modern rock/pop praise songs, such as Planetshakers and Hillsong. I really enjoy practicing these two skills and learning more within them; I take a lot of pride in making sure that the experience for the audience is always the best it could possibly be.
